Entering Multiple Data Values

1.  Open the Advanced Data Entry form from the Temporal Data menu

2.  Search for intervals using the Search box on the Select Intervals tab.  Select search criteria using the drop-down boxes, and/or type a name into the Search Name field and press the Find button.

3.  The intervals will appear in the Available box.  To select intervals for data entry, double-click on the interval to move it over to the Selected box.

4.  If the intervals selected are a common group of intervals (i.e. monthly sampling schedule), press the Save button and type a name for the group. The next time these intervals are required, selecting the group name and pressing the Load button will automatically select the intervals.

5.  Move to the Select Parameters Tab.  Parameters are grouped in the Search box.  Select the parameters to enter by double-clicking on them in the Available box.

6.  If the parameters selected are a common group of parameters (i.e. monthly sampling schedule), press the Save button and type a name for the group. The next time these parameters are required, selecting the group name and pressing the Load button will automatically select the parameters.

7.  Move to the Options tab.  Select any that apply or skip this step if you are unsure at this time.

8.  Move to the Data Entry Form tab.  Press Update Entry Form.  The form is now built using the selections made.

9.  Enter your data.  The interval name will be selected from a drop box.  The date can be entered manually, or selected from a calendar upon double-clicking on the date field.  Units can be changed by selecting from a drop box.  Data Source and Lab Name are optional.

10. Press Append Data, and your data is appended to the correct fields in the database.  A message box will ask if you are sure you wish to append the data.  Press Yes.
