Entering Small Amounts of Data

1.  Open the Search Locations form and select the appropriate Location for the temporal data you wish to add.  See the Working with Locations/ Boreholes/Intervals section for further instruction.

2.  Click on the interval in the treeview so that the Data Entry tab will appear.(Note: temporal data is always associated with an interval).

3.  Go to the Data Entry tab.

4.  Enter the sample details and the temporal data details as necessary. Double click on the Sample Date text box to bring up the calendar.

Hint: When searching for the correct reading name, use the mouse to highlight whatever reading name is present then type the first few letters of the desired reading.

5.  Press the Submit button.  Data will not be added to the database until the Submit button is pressed.  Press Yes when the message box asks if you are sure you want to add the data to the database.

6.  If you are asked whether you wish to perform conversion now, press Yes. This will bring up the conversions form shown below.

Leave the conversions options as they are and press Convert.
