Ordering Samples

1.  Toggle the display between all programs and individual programs if necessary and select the program name.

2.  From the tab entitled To Be Sampled, select the samples desired to be collected (using Shift+Click, Ctrl+Click or Click and Drag).

3.  Press the Print Field Forms and Bottle Labels button.  The list is generally ordered by due date.  A notice will appear to insert appropriate paper (standard 8.5 x 11 inch) in the default printer.  Click OK, and a preview of the field form will appear.  Press Ctrl+P, at the same time to print.  An example of the field form is shown below.

This process will be repeated to print labels for each of the requested sample bottles.  An example label is shown below.

4.  Affix labels to the correct sample bottles, check the preservative, and collect samples using the field form to record the pertinent field information.

Data Model Tip: When a sample is ordered, records are added to the sample and analysis tables of the data model.

Note: The bottle label contains a Bottle ID which is a unique number generated by SiteFX.  This number is useful for tracking purposes as it also appears on the chain of custody documentation that gets sent to the lab.
